Hi, Cliff. Thank you and the other listers who reported their experience
with Vipre. I delayed responding because I wanted to check my experience
against these comments. I worked with JAWS 10 and Vipre for a day, and I do
think things went more smoothly than with JAWS 11. Even so, the more
critical problems persisted. Besides, I've become attached to the features
of JAWS 11 and the way it formats certain emails I receive regularly and
Internet sites I visit.

Let me ask you this. Do you experience five-second delays when trying to
open or close documents in your word processor? I use WordPerfect, and this
annoyance began with the latest Vipre update.

Hi Adrian,

I'm running Vipre with Jaws 10 and am having absolutely no trouble with it,
even after the update. My computer tech swears by vipre, and we recently
signed up for their new, free DNS service called Clear Cloud.

Hope you can get to the bottom of this. I wonder if it's a conflict between
Vipre and Jaws 11.

Cliff

Hi. Has any other JAWS user installed the Vipre antivirus program? Ever
since the latest update, released about two weeks ago, performance on my
system has deteriorated. some programs take longer to open, I've had
numerous crashes and JAWS is harder, if not impossible, to bring back
without rebooting.

I have the latest release of JAWS 11 on an XP machine. My major memory hog
is Outlook 2003. I've neither installed nor updated any other applications
during this time.

Any thoughts?
