I have been using image for windows for about a year and haven't had any
problems backing up or restoring. to restore, i use jaws for dos, an
external synthesizer, and boot from a floppy. I have also created a
bootable cdrom with jaws for dos to perform restores.

There's been a lot of discussion regarding Image for Windows, an accessible
product for backing up an entire system. Restoring on the other hand
requires sighted assistance, however it seems to be easily done by a
visually impaired if the image was to be restored from an external hard
drive.
