Hi Jim,

I normally use Outlook Express, but have Outlook XP on my computer as
well. I was looking for anything to do with "quoted printable" in
outlook, which is a radiobutton in a box of 3, in the Send settings of
Outlook Express, which OE users should turn off for lists like this one;
but couldn't find it in Outlook. One thing that might help is in the
Mail Format Tab, Internet Format Settings. The default setting of
Outlook (and most email programs) is ""wrap to 76". I was told once,
that I should change this to 72, as some of my lines were not reading
properly. It's possible that the list software is inserting these =20
characters etc. at ends of lines where it wants to wrap. (I don't know
that this holds up, but is just a hypothesis on my part. Worth a try,
if you haven't done it? We're talking here about old list software,
more than likely.)

Subject: The equals problem!

Hi, not sure why my messages have these symbols in them. I am using out
look xp with everything set to plain text. If any one has any ideas why
this is happening I would like to know. This is the only list where I
am
having this problem. It seems also that some people on the list find it
annoying enough to generate at least four messages about it a week and
one
person claims that he finds my messages incomprehensible with them. So
if
some one can point me in the right direction to getting rid of them I
would
be grateful.
