Compair the way jaws is set to read numbers in 4.5 to how it is set to read numbers in 5.0.844. Either you changed one or the other probably the latter for some reason or perhaps the former when you installed it and didn't change the latter. The behavior in this regard is consistant if the settings are the same. Number prosessing can be found in text processing options of config manager. make sure you are using the default unless you had changed it in word only. It should work if set to use synthesizer controll but if not, try whole numbers. If it doesn't change in word, you need to change it for word instead of or in addition to default. ----- Original Message ----- From: <ptusing@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, May 01, 2004 12:55 AM Subject: Reading differences between 4.51 and 5.0 Hi, In Word the numbers twelve and thirteen, for example, are read as twelve and thirteen using JAWS 4.5119 but are read as one two and one three using 45.0884. Is there a way to get them read the same? Thanks and I submitted note to support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx about the JAWS halting of speech in Word X P.
