HI, Chris, You might try the 2 versions and try writing the very same identical numbers 2 ways. One way is to write the digits without a comma if larger than 999 and the other way is to insert the comma. There are differences even then when reading the exact identical number depending whether you insert a comma or not. also, try something else. Write the number and then write that same number but add a decimal and 2 numbers after it. Three digit numbers "before" the decimal" are read differently.
