Thanks a lot. I already googled text pal, found some useful description of 
it at the Fred;'s Head Companion site, and was convinced to download it, 
using the link provided. I guess I'll figure out its special qualities by 
experimenting with it or seeing if it has much in the way of explanation in 
its help section.

Thanks again. And, seriously, there's a lot more difference between Text Pal 
and Pay Pal then the difference between T and P. It's a cute mistake that is 
another process involving exchanging two entire words, in this case because 
they're both followed by "Pal." That's like confusing James Smith with 
Maggie Smith.

Nicole mistyped TextPal with a T (the free text editor) as PayPal with a
P (the online payment system). That's the source of the confusion.
