PDF "empty document" frustration

Hi listers,

I'm using the most current Jaws with Adobe Reader 8.1. I'm trying to read a PDF document downloaded from a web site, and all I get is the "alert: empty document" stuff. This document is less than ten pages and I really need access to this information. Save as text resulted in a blank document as well. I searched the Adobe site but no luck on resolving this problem. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Norma
