With Word open, do an insert V and arrow down to something about objects that
is on by default.

I tried to copy what Jaws says about it, but only got this:
This option controls whether JAWS detects and announces the number of embedded
objects in the currently opened document. The default setting is On.

when the option is on, as a document opens, or if you add one from the Insert
ribbon in Office 2007, or the Insert menu in prior versions of Office,

  Subject: Objects in Word?

  Hello,
my school scans in books for me to read, but for some odd reason just about
all the books when placed into Word have objects. The amount of objects ranges
from 12 too 1194.
The latter document is very slow to read and sometimes gets stuck in an
object and reads the same page over and over. Then in other cases it skips a
whole page and there is no way for me to get to that page except to search for
it with the find command.
I told the guy who scans about this problem, but he was rather confused and
has no clue what I'm talking about...
  Any help would be welcome!
  Thank you,

  Brandon Keith
