When you get into the list box, instead of just arrow down, hit alt-down
arrow and it should open the list for you without kicking you out. Some list
boxes are a bit different and require this approach. o

Hi Dave, The problem is with merriam-webster.com For example if I enter the
word "anti" it shows that there are forty definitions. But when I hit enter on
the list box, forms mode comes on alright, but as soon as I up or down arrow,
it kicks me out of the list box, leaving me with

just the one definition. If I use their advanced search, I get , I think it
was seven of the forty. Thanks...Bob----- Original Message -----

    Hello Bob:

What I meant to ask was, also give me an example where you have a multiple
choice of meanings for a word.

    Sincerely:

Try Alt+downarrow when you're on the list, and see if that opens it.
Then you should be able to use the up/down arrow to scroll through the list.
Then tab away to any other element or button. It's been a while since I used
JAWS 8 or 9, so working from memory.

I'm using JAW's 8, and wondering if there is a way to open a list box
on a web site. Its Webster's dictionary, and when there are multiple
definitions, i can only access the main one. Happy holidays to all...
