Okay, I bet that is the problem. I will get a standard numb pad ASAP. You
aren't having any problems now that you have the standard numb pad, right?

Yes, I did purchase another keypad.
I got one from ebay, and made darn sure that it was just a standard keypad.
You can most certainly use the Jaws desktop configuration on a laptop, with
a numeric keypad.
I returned the Targus keypad. From what you have said, I expect your
trouble is the keypad.
If you decide to try another keypad, just be sure it is a straightforward,
no nonsense one.
I'm not exactly sure about this, but I think they are putting the equals
sign on the Enter key for Mac users, and as I said before, Jaws doesn't like
it.
Good luck, and I hope you get your laptop going the way you want. I am
enjoying mine. Now.
