Subject: RE: JFW 6.01 Problems On A New Sony Laptop

Well, I have made several calls to local merchants, and nobody has a
standard numb pad. I will get on the Sony Website, and see if they have
anything. I haven't used Ebay, but may try there as well.

Yes, it is a shame if JFW can't work with the new numb pads. Seems FS
should work on that.

In the meantime, I guess I'll have to learn the laptop configuration of
key strokes. Hopefully there is a list of these commands in the JFW
Help documentation.

Thanks again.

Katrina

Hi Katrina,
No. The regular numeric keypad works just fine, and no trouble using
the desktop Jaws configuration. This is with XP Home.

Why on earth they had to stray from standard keypads is beyond me, but,
at least, now you know what to look for next time.
