I purchased a new computer a month ago, I installed Jaws 6 and one of =
the newer type keys. About two weeks ago I installed a floppy drive on =
the computer and there was no problem with the key.

Not trying to be funny or clever, but I suggest you email Freedom =
scientific on this one, it will add to the catalogue of real problems we =
face with the new authorisations, but you'll probably get quicker advice =
on this list! Hope it all works out, personally I would instal Jaws as =
soon as needed and cope with any problems that will almost inevitably =
occur.

Subject: ILM Auth Keys & New XP Machine

  Hi All,

My tech may be delivering my new XP machine later this week and we
have been discussing the possibility of him installing JAWS 6.0 on it
before he delivers it to save time. I installed 6.0 on my Win 98 se
computer using the ILM authorization scheme, so I should have 2 keys
left. I've heard that some people have lost keys when new hardware is
installed and wonder if I could lose a key if he installs JFW 6 at his
shop since we are planning on using an A/B switch for my printer and
monitor since I am hoping to keep the ones I have so I can go back and
forth with the 98 machine and the XP one until I get the hang of the
XP or if there are problems with the XP after delivery and I need the
  98 one.

Does anyone have any opinions as to whether or not I should get
him to install JAWS here or let him do at his shop? I'm the only
customer he has who uses a JAWS or any other adaptive program.

      Thanks,
  Margaret
