The command is firefox -safe-mode This will work if you have installed some Firefox extensions. I have noticed the same delayed response sometimes. It's as if there's some kind of hidden struggle in the background. Normally, I clean it after browsing via the tools menu, and Privacy. Have a look at the following site for uninstalling: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/releases/1.5beta2.html#uninstall In may case, I prefer Firefox version 1.0.4 because it's compatible with Firevox and Fangs screen reader emulator. It has a JawsAssit menu when voice extensions are installed, but it doesn't work with Jaws itself. It works with SAPI 5 as well as NeoSpeech, which is wonderful. Plus, it helps debug rebellious or unaccessible web pages by providing a detailed description of what a good screen reader should normally say when it functions properly. Firefox 1.5 beta 2 will not uninstall. If anyone has any ideas I'm open to suggestion. I am running Jaws 7.0, Firefox 1.5 beta 2, and Windows XP Media Center.
