The files are coming to me in an mp-3 format. My job is to excerpt certain
portions of the audio file and save it to a CD to be used for training
purposes.
For example: I might be required to cut one or more unrelated clips out of a
recorded phone conversation.
Will goldWave do this? and do I still need the LAME plug-in?

Hi Larry,
If you use Goldwave, and the files you need to create must be in a .MP3
format, you will need to install a plug-in called LAME. There are
instructions on how to do this on the Goldwave website,
http://www.goldwave.com.

I am absolutely 100% clueless as how to do this. The MP3 files in question
are currently archived on our web site.
