To these old ears it is just not as clear and understandable as the old DecTalk. People who have never even heard a voice synthesizer before tell me they can understand my DecTalk but when I switch to Eloquence or another software synthesizer they have trouble understanding what is being said. To me the new USB DecTalk sounds more like a software version, or more like the Triple Talk.
