If I learned anything from this, I've got a couple express in my closet,

Responsiveness. I experience no delay when typing, etc., with the old
Dectalk Express. Also, delays in opening Internet windows are a
combination of online speed and JAWS loading, but the old Dectalk Express
doesn't add another layer of delay. I find that the USB version isn't
quite as fast, though, as I say, the specs ought to indicate otherwise.
Also, the speech isn't as clear or human-sounding to my ears.
