Hi Mark, I have always used the start settings with windows xp. I've never
used win 98 so the classic setting didn't mater to me. Jaws works fine with
the windows start setting.

I'm confused. Do not the Jaws recommended settings for XP say to use classic mode?
I personally use xp start settings. It allows for more easily accessable functions via the right click. For example to pin a program to start menu
I also use Jaws 6.02 and below with XP Home and Pro. Mark .

Hi list,
I personally like the start menu in Windows XP. I am running Windows XP pro
and jaws 6.2. I have my display settings set the way FS recommends for
windows XP, but wondered if either classic or start menu works better, or if
it is just one of those things where the computer owner thinks their settings work better in the mode they use. Smile. Jim
