Tony, I'd be willing to bet that your view setting is set to something other than "List" or "Details". Try going to the View menu and check what's selected - I wouldn't be surprised if it was Thumbnails, Icons or Tile. Remember also that you can set all folders to appear the same from the "Tools", "Folder Options" menu option. Have a look anyway.
