Hello Paul, I have always saved e-mails from Outlook Express into my docs. Not everything I might add, but it has always worked with JAWS. I too didn't know Microsoft wasn't supporting outlook Express!... Does anyone know how different Outlook is?... I have thought that might be the way to go!... Thanks, Shirley. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Roberts" <anorack@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, July 05, 2011 11:20 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: [jaws-up] Re: Outlook Express Problems > Thanks so much for this useful info. > > For some reason i hadn't realised that outlook express was no longer being > supported by MS. > > Wil attempt to get something done about this ASAP. > > AS for saving in My Documents, well I used to do a similar thing in work > with Emails, whereby I would save them as word documents but the probelm > was > that not all the text seemed to be read by JAWS. > > Any htoughts on the best location for storing loads of Emails would be > most > welcome. > > Paul. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "LaMcAs" <lamcas17@xxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Tuesday, July 05, 2011 7:56 PM > Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: [jaws-up] Re: Outlook Express Problems > > > : Ok on the subject of Outlook Express and the fact that MS no longer > support > : it, might I suggest that you change the store folder location to a > folder > in > : My documents and then instil into yourself to do a daily backup. > : > : Outlook Express store folders, or for that matter any programs stored > data > : is usually in a location that most users would not be knowledgeable on > how > : to get to, and even once the knowledge has been gained, might, be > thought > to > : be too heavy a task to do in fear of messing things up, that you try and > : take the above action that stores data in a non-easily-accessible > folder, > : that you check out such programs and where at all possible change the > store > : location to one you feel more comfortable working with. > : > : I can't stress enough how important daily backups are, and even more > often > : if you have a lot of emails and using Outlook Express.
