Sue, this has come up before in this forum. It's possible to get rid of
it in the speech-sounds manager of the config files.
It refers to odd characters raised above the base line of the type, and
seems usually to be associated with dates. there is such a superscript
character representing TH, as in the numeric representation of fourth,
fifth etc.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Superscript.

Hi.

I'm using JAWS 9 and I'm scanning documents into word for the first time
since installing this version of JAWS. JAWS is saying "superscript" a
great deal when I read the documents back and it never used too. I've
upgraded from JAWS 6 to 9 so please could someone tell me why it's
saying "superscript" all of a sudden and how I can get rid of it.

Thanks.

Sue.
