Can anyone tell me where this is in the config files? I've had a look and I
don't want to change the wrong setting. I've noticed that JAWS says
"subscript" as well as "superscript" and it's getting on my nerves. I've
looked in the verbosity settings in word but I can't find anything in there
which would stop this from being spoken.

Sue, this has come up before in this forum. It's possible to get rid of it
in the speech-sounds manager of the config files.
It refers to odd characters raised above the base line of the type, and seems
usually to be associated with dates. there is such a superscript character
representing TH, as in the numeric representation of fourth, fifth etc.

Hi.
I'm using JAWS 9 and I'm scanning documents into word for the first time
since installing this version of JAWS. JAWS is saying "superscript" a great
deal when I read the documents back and it never used too. I've upgraded from
JAWS 6 to 9 so please could someone tell me why it's saying "superscript" all
of a sudden and how I can get rid of it.
