Roger, I know that George has just replied with the info I would have given you but, if it was working previously and you've not done anything specific, it might be worth doing the following if you haven't already done so: 1. Shut down the computer and turn off all devices between the computer and the outside world. Turn off the router and cable modem etc. 2. This is the critical bit....don't do anything for at least 10 minutes. Just go away and have a cup of coffee or walk the dog or whatever takes your fancy. This, I'm told, allows the capacitors in the modem and router etc to cool down and lose their settings. 3. Turn on the devices one at a time, coming from the outside world in the way e.g. cable modem, then the router, then the PC, giving them each plenty of time to get themselves set up. 4. This might just help - it certainly helped me some time ago when I had a connection problem. No harm in giving it a try anyway. Cheers, Jamie 3. ----- Original Message ----- From: Roger Fordham To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, July 24, 2005 4:13 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Router x Hi, Not a jaws question, but can anyone tell me where I might find the address of a router, which has stopped working and I can't get it to connect to the internet. For those curious to wonder how then I am sending this message, I'll just say, try another computer instead! Cheers Roger Roger@xxxxxxxxxxx
