OK, did you update from the "help" menu in the JAWS window or did you
download the full build and install over the top of your existing JAWS
9.0? It may be best in either case to uninstall the JAWS 9.0 and
install from the full Jaws 9.0.552 download:
ftp://ftp.freedomscientific.com/users/hj/private/WebFiles/JAWS/J9.0.552_
ILM.exe
For this you may need to either have a JAWS 8.0 or some previous version
or use Narrator so you can start the Jaws 9.0 installer from the web
download linked above.

Please check what version you have again, we haven't got to version
9.0.2717 just yet. The latest build of JAWS available publically is
9.0.552 and for most if not all having severe difficulty reading MS Word
document s this build resolves the issue.

Hi Peter,
I am using Office 2000, also.
However, when I ask Jaws for the version of Word, it says 9.0.2717.
Even with the update to Jaws 9, I still can't bring up the PC cursor
when I
do a Save As.
One of the fixes in this update was to the Save As in Word 2000.
So, either I haven't got Word 2000, or the fix hasn't worked for me.
Could you confirm things your end please?
