Hi sue,I have done that with my Desktop and it said Virtualizing Window and I pressed down arrow, Desktop was Ok,Laptop said it was compiling a report to send to Microsoft about Win32 it apologised and said it needed to close.
Is that aWindows key stroke you gave or a Jaws?I was once told if it starts with Insert it is Jaws, I use the horizontal key bottom of Numbpad for Insert although there is another. I hope someone can help you, I wasnot able to glimpse the error number on laptop if it had one is there a good way of getting it

You can put the text in a virtual buffer by pressing control plus insert and W. The text is read by using the down arrow key. I find it useful when I'mwanting to know how big files or folders etc are on my C drive. I don't know if you use Skype but if you do, it's a good way of reading people's profiles. Give it a try, control, insert W.----- Original Message ----- From: "Dorothy Ingram-Gorban" <dorothy.ingram-gorban@xxxxxxxxx>To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, October 30, 2008 9:40 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: New scanner with Omnipage.Sue how did you put the Text in the "virtual buffer? Hi. I've just bought a new Canon scanner lide 90 which has Omnipage 4SE on it if that means anything to anyone on this list. I've installed the softwareonto my laptop successfully. I can scan a document through Microsoft word by going into file then selecting acquire text Omnipage SE4. The document is scanned but the text goes into a text box which I'm unable to find withJaws. When I cursor down the page with the down arrow key, Jaws says blank line. I've tried the say all command also but nothing happens with that either. I've tried putting the text into a virtual buffer which reads some information but not the whole page I don't think. Please could anyone tell me how to get to the text box. I've been into the verbosity settings in word, but I can't find anything to change to enable jaws to read the document to me as a normal word document would be read. I'd be grateful for any assistance with this as I'm not sure what to try next. Sue.
