You can put the text in a virtual buffer by pressing control plus insert and W. The text is read by using the down arrow key. I find it useful when I'm wanting to know how big files or folders etc are on my C drive. I don't know if you use Skype but if you do, it's a good way of reading people's profiles. Give it a try, control, insert W. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dorothy Ingram-Gorban" <dorothy.ingram-gorban@xxxxxxxxx>

Hi.I've just bought a new Canon scanner lide 90 which has Omnipage 4SE on it ifthat means anything to anyone on this list. I've installed the software onto my laptop successfully. I can scan a document through Microsoft word by going into file then selecting acquire text Omnipage SE4. The document is scanned but the text goes into a text box which I'm unable to find withJaws. When I cursor down the page with the down arrow key, Jaws says blankline. I've tried the say all command also but nothing happens with thateither. I've tried putting the text into a virtual buffer which reads someinformation but not the whole page I don't think. Please could anyone tell me how to get to the text box. I've been into theverbosity settings in word, but I can't find anything to change to enable jaws to read the document to me as a normal word document would be read. I'd be grateful for any assistance with this as I'm not sure what to try next. Sue.
