Word has in-built formats labelled Heading-1 to Heading-9, which you can
customise to your own requirements. These headings are very useful as you can
set then up for automatic numbering if you like and they can also be used to
automatically generate a table of contents for your document if you wish.
Heading formats 1 to 3 can be set by selecting the text you want to format and
holding down the ALt GR key (immediatly right of the space bar) and press
either 1, 2 or 3 on the number row for the desired format.

Cheers
Chris

Sorry

Reading that back has made me realise that wasn't a good way of putting it. I
want JAWS to see formatting in word and call it a heading, in the same way
internet explorer does. Is this possible?

Apologies again.

Erica
