Over the last couple of days, Avast has detected a virus in two e-mails which I've received. When I heard the caution message, I deleted the viruses but it said on both occasions that the malware had been removed from my computer. I noticed that there were several options to choose from, EG take no action, delete, move to chest etc. I deleted the viruses, as I said, but I'm not sure whether that was the right thing to do.

I'd be grateful for some advice on this please as this may happen again in the future.

I would also like to know what iavs means from the update menu. There is programs update and iavs update which I'm assuming is something to do with the internet but I'd like some clarity on that as well.

Thanks.

Sue.
