Hi Graham,
I've done another download from this site and it makes no difference. With
Jaws running, you don't even get the error message. If you try to open
Adobe, the PC just sits there as if you'd done nothing. This is also what
happens if you try to open a .PDF file. You don't even get the message
telling you that Windows doesn't know what program created the file.

I'm tempted to go down to the garage and come back with a big hammer.

Colin

Hi Colin

The best place to get the correct full accessible version of adobe 7 in my
opinion is from the programmes link on
www.jfwlite.com
Cheers!

Yes, I have exactly the same problem. Out of curiosity, my wife, for whom
Adobe was working perfectly, decided to run my Jaws and got the message that
that version of Adobe didn't support screenreaders. I think there may be a
slightly different version of Adobe that does work, but so far I haven't
managed to locate it.

Hi all

Apologies to those of you who have already seen this mail on another
list. I thought I'd try here as there has recently been some discussion
on Adobe Reader. Hope someone can help.

Having a problem reading some PDF documents from my employer's intranet
site. If the document opens in the same window, it's OK but, if it
tries to open in a new window, Adobe Reader seems to come up briefly,
then close again. Colleagues using the same version of Adobe Reader are
not having this problem so could it be something to do with the presence
of a screen reader (Jaws in this case)?

Look forward to hearing from you.
