The answer to b) is:

*ektest 0
Link test ................ passed (has link).
Register test ............. passed.
Interrupt test ........... passed.

Unfortunately I had already reset my machine before I saw your note 
and cannot therefore give you the answer to a). I will capture the 
info next time I get the message, probably when I switch on tomorrow 
if it is cold overnight tonight.
