I can see why you added that last bit - do not under any circumstance use emery cloth, isopropal alcohol yes but not an abrasive. Many plug-in-boards like the graphics card in the Iyonix are coated with a ultra thin (microns) coating of gold to assist conductivity and corrosion resistance and can easily be damaged/removed using an abrasive. You might have more than pyjamas to cope with after subjecting PCB edge contacts to this sort of treatment. This is a definite no-no with the latest high speed PC graphic cards.
