Normally both, but often network layer SSL VPN is the tricky
one...people often see through the "RPC over HTTP is an SSL VPN"
argument from MS, especially when they need specific network level
access.

OK, but what applications do they need to access? Are they asking about
network lever SSL "VPN"?

Like most people, they want zero client footprint/install. That
and host based checking...

ISA can get close with a CMAK prepared VPN client and something
like VPN-Q, but not quite the same...

        Hi Jason,
Customers always ask about SSL VPN, but most of them don't even
need one. Where there specific features they wanted that ISA couldn't
provide them?

        Thanks!

Looks at Whales website, it looks like the already offer
a lot of similar features to ISA, so it should be interesting to see how
MS merge the SSL VPN and additional application filters...

We have recently been quoting for a large enterprise
solution and the lack of ISA SSL VPN was a big downer for the customer
:-(

You know, I thought this would have been a big deal. But
no one seems to be talking about it.
