In the Firewall Client Tab of the internal network properties, you need these settings: - Enable Firewall client support for this network - Has to be set to use the FWC. - ISA Server name or IP address - I think this has to be set, but not 100% positive, SurfControl does work with an entry here. - Automatically detect settings - Has to be disabled for SurfControl to work, this setting gets forced into IE by the FWC. - Use automatic configuration script - Has to be disabled for SurfControl to work, this setting gets forced into IE by the FWC. - Use a Web proxy server - Doesn't have to be set, but if you don't enter anything here, it must be entered by GPO or other means, as this setting gets forced into IE by the FWC. Does that clear it up a bit? ________________________________ From: Ara [mailto:ara@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, March 24, 2005 10:29 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: RE: possible fix ISAserver.org - Review of SurfControl Web Filter 5.0 for ISA Server 2004 Hello Dan, So you say on internal network tab, only the enable firewall client for this network and use a proxy server has to be set? In that case do I have to also use group policy for proxy settings on IE? I assume not Thank you
