First, the NTFS / FAT issue is irrelevant to network access; it's the share state of the resource. If you want the W9x clients to have access, share the drive / folder, whatever. It will be the replacement for a NetWare 4.2 server. The Dell box has been partitioned with a C: and D: drive, both with NTFS. But all of the clients are running Win 98; therefore, the NTFS partitions are "invisible". I want to reformat some or all of the the D: drive over to FAT32 so the clients can have access to a file system. Here's my question: The only thing on the D: drive is the ISA Server cache file, dir1.cdat. Can I move that, reformat the drive and bring it back? Or do I have to Un-install ISA Server and reinstall? Thanks for the help..
