IE searches for wpad in port 80 by default indeed, and that's the reason why I added DHCP option 252 specifying EXPLICITLY to use port 81 (http://wpad:81/wpad.dat) -- all Microsoft documentation and writings on ISAServer.org say that should work (but doesn't in my case!) No way am I having IIS give up its beloved port 80! :) Will indeed let you folks know if I find a solution.
