Rule #1 - Don't test publishing rules from inside ISA.

Rule #2 - IP assignments without network masks are as useful as first
names at a "Bob" convention.

Rule #3 - switching from one ISP to another involves much more than
"just a box"; make sure the traffic path is correct

2004!!!

I am testing this from the Internal network. Also the ISA logs do not
show me anything related to blocking any SMTP connection to the External
network.

The thing is I have 2 NICs installed on the ISA server 2004. One NIC is
connected to the Internal Network with IP range 192.168.35.1 to
192.168.35.254 and the other NIC which is connected to my verizon DSL
box has the IP range 192.168.1.47 . My verizon DSL box is giving
out this range of IPs 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.50. This is one of
those Verizon box with a wireless capability.

When I was using cable box for a similar connection, I never had this
problem. It's just that my cable DSL connection keep disconnecting all
the time so I switched to Verizon DSL, and now I cannot configure
Outlook 2003 to work.

Q1 - where are you testing from; Internal or external to ISA?

Q2 - what do you find in the ISA logs for those tests?

The actual error message I am getting now is "Outlook could not connect
to the incoming mail server (POP3). The problem could be the server name
or port, or your server may not support SSL. Verify your port and SSL
settings in More settings under Advanced",

Has anyone encountered this kind of error while setting up Outlook 2003
with Verizon DLS infront of ISA 2004? Any thoughts?
