Hi, If your sitting on the internal network, connecting to the Verizone, then make sure that the rule is using POP3 i.e. pop3 outbound from the internal network, not pop3 server, which is an inbound protocol. Make sure that port 110 is not blocked by a firewall rule on the verizon box, or forwarded to a specific port. While the router in the verizon box, should send a response to an out bound request back to the same internal IP, even if the port is forwarded to a specific IP, I have come accross one, that I believe was not behaving in the manner, and it was a TELCO supplied ADSL Modem / router. Also try plugging in to the router directly, that will eliminate one or the other, if you still can connect plugged straight in to the router, then I'd look at the router config. Another possibility would be to set the ISA server on a DMZ IP from the router, everything from the internet will then be forwarded to the server. After talking to a Verizon representative for more than an hour, he suggested that I look at my firewall configuration to resolve this issue. The ISA logs is not showing me anything and that's why I feel like I am now lost. On 11/11/06, Amy Babinchak <amy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Why do you think this is an ISA problem? Do you have logs that show it? The actual error message I am getting now is "Outlook could not connect to the incoming mail server (POP3). The problem could be the server name or port, or your server may not support SSL. Verify your port and SSL settings in More settings under Advanced", Has anyone encountered this kind of error while setting up Outlook 2003 with Verizon DLS infront of ISA 2004? Any thoughts?
