Is MSN still down? We still can't connect. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Elizabeth C. I encountered the same problem, so I decided to see what my WinsockTool could tell me. It told me "You're a dumbass". Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but true, nonetheless. When you're operating wireless and the normally-wired connection is still enabled, though disconnected, it's seen by WMI as an active interface. Whether or not that's a valid determination is irrelevant, since WinsockTool reports that you're trying to use a broadcast address (the dumbass part). I fixed it and re-propped the new version (1.0.0.4) to http://isatools.org/winsocktool.msi ..interestingly enough, the MSN Messenger status page: http://messenger.microsoft.com/support/status.asp reports "all ok", even though I can't log in either. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a lack of a "tell us we're broken" link on that page? -- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/pages/author_index.asp?aut=3 http://isatools.org Read the help / books / articles!
