Lack of foresight means that some of the frequently
used styles have to be sought way down the list.
Like my comment about losing space above for a chapter
title, it's not the end of the world.
You can export a DDF file and rearrange the order of the
style definitions at the top of the file -- they're
simply presented in the order you originally defined
them. Although if your user-created styles duplicate
the names of the styles in the default document I'm not
quite sure what will happen when you re-import it into a
blank document....
Thanks Harriet. That sounds eminently sensible. Its sounds
so sensible, I can't think why I didn't think of it myself.
Oh, *that's* why. It's sensible!
It has limitations though. To get the newly ordered list, I
think I would have to start with a document with only the
normal style defined. This means that I would have to lose
all the style definitions in the document and start
applying them all over again, or...
Experiment. That's it! Work on a copy or some copies of the
document until I get it right.
