I configured exactly as you said but still I am not able to access
Internet.
I have entered the Static IP, Default Gateway, DNS servers all as root.
I have edited the file /etc/resolv.conf and placed DNS address (as
Administrator) as well.
I tried to ping the dns addresses given it says destination unreachable.
I have also enabled & disabled the network card eth0 and has
restarted the network again but no effect.
When I open up mozilla and type url as www.google.com and enter it
does not show up.
Do I need to do anything more.
My Hathway setup works in Windows2000 very well.
Kindly help me. Thanks in advance.

Yes. I have been using HAthway on GNU/Linux for the past 1.5 years at
Bangalore.
GUI (Ubuntu - GNOME):
Click on System -> Administration -> Networking
Type your Administrative password
Enable your ethx (should be 0)
Click on properties and Select Static IP (default would be DHCP)
Enter the IP address that was given
Leave the default subnet mask
Enter the gateway adresss
Go to the DNS Tab and enter the two DNS address they gave.
Put your Default interface to eth0
Click OK. You will be up online
CLI:
Use ifconfig command to set your IP
Edit /etc/resolv.conf to give you DNS address (must be Administrator)
