Unfortunately Power net is not working with 16.xx.

You can pass attributes too using the PowerNET netlister – details are at

Sam,

As already was pointed out by another member OrCAD can out put .asc file
but the net list that OrCAD generate is void of any attributes from
schematic. Also footprint names should be same as their PADS footprints
library. To do this go to net list dialog box and select other and in
their you have
two netlister for PADS.

Good Luck!

Group:

The other group requested all our Cadence files for a particular board.

They use PADs and requested a netlist file.

I know orcad creates .dat files, I'm asking can these files be used to
create a .pcb file?

Is the DSN file sufficient?

I don't much about PADs, hopefully someone here can help. We have Cadence,
they have PADs.

Thanks again,
Sam

Yes, Capture formatted netlist can be used as a schemaic frontend to PADs.
Capture is often the schematic preferred choice for PADs users.

Group, Can I use the netlist from Orcad and import into pads?

I'm using Cadence 16.3 and our other site is using Mentor's PADs.

Thanks,
Sam
