Alan,
Attached is an extract command file for both the UniCAM & CircuitCAM
formats. As stated previously by another Forum member you should talk with
your assembly house to see what format they prefer. More than likely they
have an extract command file they will share with you. Nevertheless, here
is one that will include Fiducials with the placement data.

From the command line you can type the following:
shell extracta boardname assy_extract.txt pp.txt
assy_extract.txt = command file
pp.txt = output pick & place data
(See attached file: assy_extract.txt)
Note: make sure that the command file is in your working directory.
Thanks

Working with an outside PCB assembly contractor...they need pick/place data
for the boards they're going to build for us. Mostly no problem...extract
the location (origin and/or centroid) for all components/symbols on the
board.

However, we place our board fiducials as mechanical symbols, and these
don't
show up in the extracta output using the following script:

component
#
comp_height
comp_part_number
comp_device_label
refdes
comp_package
sym_center_x
sym_center_y
sym_x
sym_y
sym_rotate
refdes_sort
#
End

Question is, how do I get the x/y location data for the fiducials, which
the
assembler needs for alignment???
