I'm surprised people would use a lanyard. I guess I feel the icon is a little too large and heavy fora lanyard. I actually use the case all the time stick it on my belt, with a lanyard it would move around much more as it would be hanging from something.

If people want to use a lanyard, there's also the ring on the back of the case above the belt clip, that would be much easier to attach a lanyard to, and if the case broke it could easily be replaced.

Hello,
This is what I did. But I must say, it is not easy to do and it might take you many attempts.
1. Place the Icon on its front.
2. While holding the string end of the lanyard, squeeze it so that the end of the loop is kind of pointed, with your fingers real close to the leading edge. 3. Gently attempt to slide the leading edge of the string through either the top or the back of the space between the little metal bar and the case of the Icon. Note. If going through the back doesn't work, try the top.
4. Keep trying it till it starts through.
5. Once it slides through, be careful not to pull it out.
6. Try to grab it with your fingers and pull it through.
7. Once you have the string through the opening, slide the actual lanyard through the little loop and pull it tight. that's it. This is really hard to do. It's also hard for sighted people to do as well. My wife had lots of trouble connecting the lanyard also. One other idea, perhaps a needle threader might work, I don't know. Just a suggestion.

I looked all over for my original box to find the lanyard so I could maybe
give you an idea. But, no luck finding it yet.

Just guessing though. You probably need to push the end with a loop on it through under the teeny-tiny bar at the top-back of the Icon far enough that you can then pass the other side of the lanyard through the loop and pull it
tight.

Could be wrong... just guessing. HTH
