Hello,
This is what I did. But I must say, it is not easy to do and it might
take you many attempts.
1. Place the Icon on its front.
2. While holding the string end of the lanyard, squeeze it so that the
end of the loop is kind of pointed, with your fingers real close to the
leading edge.
3. Gently attempt to slide the leading edge of the string through either
the top or the back of the space between the little metal bar and the
case of the Icon. Note. If going through the back doesn't work, try the
top.
4. Keep trying it till it starts through.
5. Once it slides through, be careful not to pull it out.
6. Try to grab it with your fingers and pull it through.
7. Once you have the string through the opening, slide the actual
lanyard through the little loop and pull it tight. that's it.
This is really hard to do. It's also hard for sighted people to do as
well. My wife had lots of trouble connecting the lanyard also.
One other idea, perhaps a needle threader might work, I don't know. Just
a suggestion.
