Thanks Dickson,Apparently I broke something. I'll look into this and get a new dev version out. I made some internal code changes to get closer to having effects that cause other effects and they are probably related to this issue.

Hey Ian Just downloaded it and loaded my map into it. Has there been any change to sight_range_mod for effects? My maps used to load without error in development version 12 but now are producing this error: sight is not a recognized skill name in flag sight_range_mod in Data for TB\Map Packs\Victorious maps\Effects\bloodlust.txt on line 6 sight is not a recognized skill name in flag sight_range_mod in Data for TB\Map Packs\Victorious maps\Effects\true sight.txt on line 6 These are the text of the effect files causing the error: effect 1 focuses on doing more damage over all else. Increases the damage dealt by all skills by 25 for 5 rounds at the cost of 3 less range, missing 25% more often and all shots requiring 1 extra arrow. health_inflict_mod=25 range_mod=-3 sight_range_mod=-3 chance_mod=-25 arrows_cost_mod=1 unit duration=5 effect 1 Enhances sight and ensures shots will never miss at the cost of doing less damage. Increases range and sight range by 3 and reduces damage dealt by all skills by 20 health_inflict_mod=-20 range_mod=3 sight_range_mod=3 chance_mod=25 unit duration=5 As always keep up the awesome work. Can't wait to play with the RPG maker when it gets released :) Dickson -----Original Message----- From: ian-reeds-games-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ian-reeds-games-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ian Reed Sent: Thursday, May 09, 2013 6:50 AM To: ian-reeds-games@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ian-reeds-games] Tactical Battle 1.13 dev 14 Hi guys! A small dev release here. I've been out of town lately and also working on the exploration for the RPG Maker. The changes are: 36 Fixed a bad memory leak introduced in earlier dev versions. 37 Added Allan Thompson's beginner's guide to map creation to the documentation. 38 Significantly improved the performance of checking for updated map packs by having the server check instead of the client and by caching the result. I also fixed the broken save feature. I was very excited about the previous map pack download feature but anyone who had used it much would have seen that it had a terrible slowdown when checking for map packs after you had downloaded a few already. This is because the client would check the HTTP headers of each previously downloaded link to see if the size of the download had changed and that can take a few seconds per file. Now the server does this and caches the result so the clients only ever need to make one call to my server which makes it much snappier. That makes me a lot more proud of that feature. Also be sure to check out Allan Thompsons "A beginners guide to map creation" which is linked to in the other guides section of the main user guide. Thanks Allan! And I've included Craig's latest scripts as well. Here's the link for dev 14: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/43120001/Tactical%20Battle%201.13%20dev% 2014.zip Ian Reed
