it's the "ethernet0.virtualDev" setting.

just edit the vmx file directly, no need to use the configuration
options in vmware server.

Also, I've tested both VMWare Server and Player, and for me the Player
had much faster video performance. I suspect this is because Server
uses a remote-location-capable method of video display due to its
design for remote access to server vms.

I dont have time now because I'm packing. I'll be out of town for over 2 weeks.
Should I upload the image if anyone wants to use it or fix the networking?
