To be honest, I'm no fan of recreating the OS interface for a website.
Borrowing a few(!) things is OK, like using the BTabView tabs where
necessary, a few Haiku style icons and using a similar colour scheme.
First and foremost the site should represent the Haiku key feature:
quick and transparently navigatable. Much of the speed depends on the
smart use of graphics and, I guess, trimming Drupal to the bare minimum
number of modules.
