I am also all for DuckDuckGo, but IMO for better UX, it would be best to do
this when we have
better UI for configuring search engines. Google search results are still
unmatchable, and not
everyone would want to use g! bang or Web+ “g <search-term>“ shortcut every
time. Non tech-savvy
users won’t be able to select default without having to look it up.
Correct, but that's a different problem. Can you make an enhancement ticket
about it if there
isn't one already? This would clearly be an improvement and needs not be
discussed on the mailing
list. The choice of the default setting, on the other hand, is not as clear
cut, it is not obvious
which web browser is "best", there are various criteria to take into account,
so that part is better
discussed here on the mailing list.
