I am also all for DuckDuckGo, but IMO for better UX, it would be best to do
this when we have better UI for configuring search engines. Google search
results are still unmatchable, and not everyone would want to use g! bang or
Web+ “g <search-term>“ shortcut every time. Non tech-savvy users won’t be able
to select default without having to look it up.
Something like:
- Preconfigured dropdown for engine selection instead of manual address field
- Ability to add new engines to dropdown
- As a nice plus, to be able to configure search engine shortcuts on address
field
