Sure. Having a release may prove to be a bigger attraction, though.

GCI is similar, but with a
longer term focus. I think at this point GCI is largely self-feeded in our 
case,
with a lot of the mentoring work done by former students and other people who 
are
not part of the core Haiku team.

Right. GCI is less of a strain on main dev resources. Maybe the
non-Haiku-devs can take up the slack, while they strictly limit the
time they spend on the hand holding. TimeTracker is available at the
HaikuDepot. :)
