Not sure about an additional field in the HPKG; it doesn't seem to be information required for package management. I certainly don't mind an additional field in the DB.

Anyway, I'm still not entirely should what the publisher would be in different cases. I guess it is clear for a native application produced by a commercial company -- it would likely match both copyright holder and packager. But what about ported software? Would the FSF and the Apache Foundation be the publishers for respective software (e.g. man or APR)? What about more complex ports with a significant Haiku specific part (e.g. WebKit)?
